Lent Chain

Lent Chain

As a mother of small children, I am always trying to create interactive ways for my boys to learn and worship at home.  I was inspired by an advent chain I saw on Pinterest to create a chain for the season of Lent.  There is a link for each day of the season (40 days+Sundays).  Each day has a short activity to do.  The activities are intended to be paired with the scripture themes from our congregation focusing on the 23rd Psalm.  The Sundays of each week share the scripture passages and have child friendly discussion questions.  The rest of the week has a variety of random acts of kindness, coloring prayers, conversation questions for families, and more.  I hope that you find it meaningful for your family or share it with families you know.

You may download a PFD version of Lent Chain for personal use or use within your ministry. Some basic construction instructions.  The PDF should be printed front/back.  One side of the page has the date and the other has the activities.  Sundays are at the end of the document because I intended for them to be a different color in order to give a gauge of the season’s progression.  Once printed, simply cut along the line and staple the chain together.  Enjoy!
